What is the High Income Child Benefit Charge?

The High Income Child Benefit Charge (HICBC) is a tax paid by individuals whose income exceeds £50,000 per year and who receive Child Benefit or whose partner receives it. This charge effectively repays some or all of the Child Benefit received throughout the year.

How Much is Child Benefit in the UK?

The current weekly Child Benefit rates are:
